Purple Buddy was originally born from us identifying a gap in the current market for people who may be lonely or struggling to complete everyday tasks alone. We started out wanting to make life a little bit better for our loved one, then realised that we could make life so much better for so many loved ones. Initially offering companionship and social support, now offering a full range of help in and around the home.
Purple Buddy is a family first business, three generations working together to help you and your family. We provide a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay. We don’t charge extortionate rates as we want to make our services accessible for as many people as possible. We don’t work exclusively with one group, we try to offer services that can help everyone from time to time.
We have a lot of experience working with elderly and vulnerable people. The company was started after we experienced the pressure of supporting our own family with Dementia. We have many staff members that provide one to one support to elderly and vulnerable people. Support ranges from a house keeping visit, with tea and a chat to a visit to the supermarket.
Services:
Companionship Services - Our visits range from a chat over tea and biscuits to a shopping trip to buy an outfit for a special occasion. Perhaps someone to help make a shopping trip more fun, or just to provide some company while you get your weekly shop. Whatever the reason we have a buddy to suit. Cleaning Services - We can help with day to day cleaning, a one of deep clean, ironing, or even help with organising!
Gardening Services - Whether it is a one-off project or regular garden maintenance, or even just mowing your lawn during the summer months.
Waste Removal - Whatever you need taking away we can help!
Pet Services - If you need help walking your dog or maybe just need someone to pop in and feed the cat. We can help you with all animals big or small.
Handyman Jobs - We can help you with all the little bits and bobs you might need doing. If you need some furniture built or even just a shelf putting up, we can help!
Our hourly rate depends on the service. All of our services range from £15 - £30 an hour.

'I've had them to my garden twice and they transformed it from a weed covered jungle to something I'm proud to have people come and see.
I've also had some indoor work done, they reversed a door opening for me, so it now opens to the right.. looks much better and you wouldn't know it had ever opened the other way.
I have also booked them again for some more handyman things, installing an outside tap and erecting a patio awning which I've no doubt will be done just as well.'
